Myself and partner are flying London -Frankfurt on BA in April, and i am wondering whether there is any reason to give the travel agents our ff numbers[we are travelling in discount economy}, do we get any status or point benefits, also what about lounge access[ i am gold flyer but my partner has no status], can we get access to the longes in frankfurt and london...........thanks in anticipation

Welcome to AFF, topdog - top city too!!
On BA in discount economy, you'll get 25% mileage but full SC's. Click on this link and scroll down to the BA section for confirmation. As a Gold FF, every SC helps for reassessment and Lifetime SC total. Can't understand why you wouldn't want to give your FF number - you'll also get preferred seating...
Lounge access - BA Terraces Lounge is adequate - not as good as Qantas Club lounges, but definitely better than AA's Admirals Club. Food selection won't be as extensive as QC, but nonetheless will be welcome from the spouse's viewpoint. You are allowed to take in 1 guest.
P.S. Thanks to Dave Noble for doing the calculations below...
