Thought I should post a quick alert to any of you out there, who, like me, may be taking advantage of the Jetstar Double the Difference promotion for some great deals.

My latest booking rep just informed me that "system changes" are coming soon!

I have taken this to mean, either -

• Jetstar is going to abandon its yield management process, and actually start selling cheap flights at times I want to fly. (not likely) OR
• Jetstar is going to add new rules about *** *** *** *** for a Double the Difference fare. (extremely likely)

P.S. Tiger has some great prices for May this week! (Enuf said.)

P.P.S. I have noticed a change in the Jetstar 1300 369 516 number recently, instead of bumping you to the top of the queue (to speak with someone quickly) there is now a delay, but you are delivered to a "superior quality rep", instead of a "general bumbling teenager". (Which makes the whole long process, of Double the Difference bookings, much quicker.)

I noticed their website seems to have been updated beginning of this month - Double The Difference - Travel Services - Travel Information - Jetstar Airways

When making a claim under the Double the Difference Voucher Guarantee, you cannot use a Double the Difference voucher issued after the 2nd June 2008 to pay for the Jetstar flight you book.

Well, Jetstar had the best frequent flyer program in the world there, for a while, but alas... all good things.
