Upgrade parts of long haul flights

Hi i'm flying QF1 via BKK and QF6 return via SIN and would like to upgrade the second parts of the flights BKK - LON and SIN - SYD with airpoints. I rang Q and they said not possible as they are considered 1 flight each way. If any members have suggestions that would be very much appreciated. Regards Andy

To upgrade half, it needs to be booked as 2 separate flights. Ie be 2 coupons on a paper ticket or 2 lines on an electronic ticket.

Is there any penalty to reissue your ticket in this way?

On top of any change fee that may apply, be aware that you will also be hit for 2 extra international fuel surcharge fines; changing it to separate sectors is the only way to be able to do it. Remember , of course, that even after paying the fees, you are not guaranteed the upgrade

Splits done

Hi
Thanks Kiwi and Dave for the advise. I rang them late on a Friday like 4.45pm and they did it all for me, just about fell out of my chair , nothing was a problem and no extra charges etc. Some days you win some days you dont all I have to do now is pray for the upgrades.

Thanks
Andy
