Sterling airlines???

We are arriving in Stockholm on Thai Airways due to land at 6.50am. We need to get to Gotenburg and Sterling have a flight leaving at 8.30am for $48 each one way p/p.

Questions:
  1. Are Sterling airlines any good?
  2. Would we have enough time to get through customs etc to make the flight?
  3. If sterling are no good can anyone rocommend a budget airline for the one hour flight?
Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Sterling airlines???

When I went through Stockholm a couple of year ago, no problems at all with C&I - however I was travelling on an EU passport from LHR, was in Business and wasn't connecting, so wasn't concerned about the timeframe - don't remember how long it took. I'm sure a couple of members have flown there, so the information should be forthcoming from them.

I would be a little concerned with the timeframe for an Intl to Domestic connection, given the liklihood of a lot of early morning arrivals. What is their next flight - better to have too much time than not enough, as there is also the possibility that your bags might not be interlined and if you need to pick them up, then that will eat into yuor time as well.

Not taken a domestic flight from there, so can't help you with that part of your query.

Not heard of Sterling before but their Wikipedia page gives a good working knowledge. Sounds good to me.

Re: Sterling airlines???

Cheers Lindsay. The next flight is not until 6.30pm that night so it is a little wait. For $43 each I am inclined to just book it and if worse comes to worst we can jump on a train. I am assuming the airport is one and not like Brisbane where Int and Dom a seperate?

Re: Sterling airlines???

The Stockholm Airport Wikipedia page should help there - particularly Sections 2 and 6. It looks more like MEL airport. Also look at this traveller information site.

I can't help with times taken between Terminals, as I was going straight to a hotel.
