Can you explain why Qantas FF is better than Kris?
To
Ralph's post my advice would be as per
Jobu's - keep them in Altitude as long as possible. Then when you want to transfer to make a flight - do so. There are four options that give you good coverage at the same conversion ratio - Qantas FF, Krisflyer, Malaysian Enrich & Virgin Blue Velocity. (Also NZ - are available - but difficult to compare to others). Before converting you can get an idea (if you are a member of these programs - and the last three are free to join) if your desired redemption seat is available.
And I don't understand why Qantas FF would be rated better than Krisflyer. In my experience, I've been able to get a business class return to Europe on SQ using KF pts for 128,000 pts - and unable to get seats on QF for 256,000 pts on/around same days (to be fair to QF for 128K pts I could have got Y seats on those days) Or used 82K pts for Y seats on SQ to Europe. Likewise to Asia, 47K gets me return to SE Asia with stopover in SIN (if I want) on SQ. QF to BKK no stopover 60K. No brainer really, but each to their own.
