    Question on QF SC earn....

Now I have been searching high and low (no doubt after saying this someone will find exactly what I was looking for in a thread from yesterday...) but!..

I know that Q and W class economy bookings on AA earn O qffpoints - however do they earn SC's?

The wording seems to be confusing me...

9.3.1 Subject to clauses 9.3.2 and 9.4, Points for air travel may be earned only for paid travel (excluding for the avoidance of doubt any Award Flight) on regular scheduled flights where a Qantas flight number (or the flight number of any oneworld Alliance Airline or Airline Partner not excluded under clause 9.4) is entered on the itinerary ('Eligible Flight').
9.3.2 For the purposes of earning Points, Status Credits and the Minimum Points Guarantee, Eligible Flights exclude a flight on a Qantas aircraft, where another airline's flight number is entered on the ticket, unless that flight has been specified by Qantas as an Eligible Flight.
9.3.3 Points may be earned for each Flight Segment travelled on Eligible Flights by a Member. The number of Points earned is calculated using the shortest distance on the surface of the globe between the origin and destination of the Flight Segment, regardless of any intermediate stops.

Status Credits are earned on all eligible booking classes.

I'm off to the US soon... and I need to take a few 1hr hops around and would rather buy the cheapies and just get the SC's!

My second question is as a QF SG can I ring up and access the preffered seating, or is this benefit purely in the domain of AAdvantage members?

    Thanks!

If the fare is inelgiable to earn points, then it is ineligable for Status Credits, s based on that table Q and W will earn zero SCs

The seats such as exit rows are available to AA members. You may, if you are lucky, get an agent that would give you the exit seat based on sapphire status , but wouldn't rely on it
