What do V S etc classes mean in Economy on QF? How many seats do they have for various flights and how do the prices vary for different classes?

How long is a piece of string?

Nobody really can answer your question. The number of seats in each class will vary per flight, and will vary on a given flight based on the day of the week, and so on. The prices vary based upon the sector involved, and whether it is a combination of sectors.

They are discount fares (down towards the Red-e-Deal end of the fare ladder.)
All availablility of fares depends on1/Demand and 2/willingness of punters to pay.
On a positive note ....They are (at Least Domestically) the lowest fares you can use and still use FF points to upg to J cabin. This can be done at the time of booking domestically but is based on normal J cabin redemption avail. Also you can get on departure upgrades...although again I think on the day you need to be a QF clubber.
Int QF you can register with these fare types for FF point upgrades although they are then allocated ,i believe by tier status, on the day or day before travel subject to availability of remaining J cabin seats.

Same goes for international. Again, S and V are the lowest that can be upgraded.
The lower classes - N, O and Q, cannot be upgraded.

The QF fare types I have but I'd appreciate if somebody could post the fare types for Virgin and Jetstar (eg. the letters for Blue Saver; Jet Flex etc.).
