Hi Guys,
I'm looking to book a multi-city AKL-SYD-AKL-SYD in business class on LAN, i'm just wondering if it is possible to cancel just one of the sectors and get a refund on that due to work etc etc or would it have to be the whole ticket?
This is also based on the 1st sector AKL-SYD.
Hope that made sense!
Thanks

A bit of a strange one.
I have not tried but it seems unusual to be able to book a ticket a-b-a-b in the first place.
Is there a cheaper fare that may be available than if booked a-b-a?

I am guessing that AKL-SYD-AKL-SYD is cheaper than SYD-AKL-SYD. Not sure what happens if you try to cancel the first segment, but at the least I would think a recalculation to the higher fare may occur!
Air: QFF Gold (LTS)
Hotel: A|Club: Gold, PC Plat, Hyatt GP: Plat, HH: Silver, SPG: Gold
Car: Avis preferred, Hertz #1 Club Gold
That is correct, need to do a status run and only need about 180 credits to re-qualify for plat, and this seems the cheapest way to do so (having to go over there anyway). AKL-SYD-AKL-SYD is around $900 where as the SYD-AKL-SYD is over $1k.
A bit of a weird request i know!
Or is there something else i could possibly do to get the SC's cheap?
I really don't like your chances!
Better to get a cheapie positioning flight to AKL for around AUD220 (or less depending on sales) then start your travels from there.

If all flights are booked as one itinerary, then not flying one sector will automatically cancel all remaining sectors. And if you cancel one sector the fare will be recalculated based on the new itinerary.

haha thanks for the info guys. I think i'll have to do a little bit more research on this and what i should do, i think i may just cough up the higer but still decent price ex aust.
Also how would i go through customs if i did do a-b-a-b-a (positioning-akl-syd-akl-syd) in about 2 days?
Thanks for the insight once again
