I've a booking on Singapore Airlines for a MEL->LHR return leaving on May 4. I'm trying to work out what my PNR is. I assumed it was the 6 character alphanumeric Booking Reference code that I see when I log into SQ's website. However, when I use that code to look up my booking on Virtually There or Check My Trip both websites claim that there is no such booking.
I'm curious to know what seat I've been assigned (the SQ website just says Aisle).
Is the Booking Ref the PNR?
Am I just too impatient and my booking will show up closer to my departure date?
I booked through a travel agent. Does that make any difference?
Thanks
Barbara
The booking reference that you see on SQ's website is the SQ PNR. It is only valid on singaporeair.com
SQ uses their own inhouse reservation system, Krisnet, whilst the sites that you mentioned are supported by other reservation systems.
You have to find out which reservation system your TA uses, ask for the PNR specific to that system (it'd be different to the SQ reference), and log on to one of the following:
checkmytrip.net - Amadeus
virtuallythere.com - Sabre or Abacus
viewtrip.com - Gallileo
