Hilton Premium Club - Hanuman Restaurant Cairns

It appears that the Cairns Hilton's new restaurant, Hanuamn, will not honour the Premium Club discount of 20%. I haven't been informed by the HPC that it was excluded, and I'm wondering if anyone else may have experienced exclusions before or if this is just an anomaly as it is new. It comes with rave reviews, but 20% is 20%!!!

No visit to Darwin is complete without a visit to Hanuman which is now situated adjacent to the Holiday Inn Esplanade & Darwin Entertainment Centre.

There's one in Alice too - not sure if it's in a hotel or not though.

Different ball game when an independent restaurant is located within a hotel. Don't know whether Hilton will subsidise the 20% - have to wait and see.

On my last trip to Alice, the restuarant was inside the lobby area of the Crowne Plaza.

I have eaten at the Hanuman in Darwin a few times and it is really good Thai food - some of the best I've ever had.

For what it's worth I ate at Mondo Café Bar and Grill a few weeks ago and it was really quite good. They applied a $50 minimum spend for HPC privileges.

That is as per the T&C's for non resident guest dining (at Hotel operated restaurants).

However, if one is staying at the Hotel and such dining is booked to the room, then the 20% is applied - irrespective of the bill amount.
