Hiya folks
A friend of mine is looking to travel Melbourne to Paris return in Business departing a few days prior to Xmas and returning a couple of weeks later. Anyone got any insights into the cheapest business class fare at that time? He doesn't have/care for any airline FF program, and stopovers aren't too much of an issue if travelling business.
He reckons he's got a Singapore Airlines return business flight lined up for $9K.
Cheers, GM.

I wouldn't worry, he/she has already decided on SQ, and they will be very happy as long as they get the correct flight out of Melbourne and get the newer aircraft. My friends do it all the time to me, but if you think they are serious, a very quick check, and Gulf air, Finnair etc are offering $1750++ ex BKK to CDG with stopovers, and it's relatively easy to get a cheap BA flight ex SYD or even a Jetstar out of Melbourne. If you want to fly cheaply, it's there, but OMG it's a hassle. Nothing beats comfort, a nice champagne, good lounge and a credit card that works first time, regards bkkrop.
Thanks V8statesman
I cant find the fares you are talking about for the life of on the Singapore website... I'm using all sorts of combinations etc. Care to enlighten me?
Cheers

Try SAS' website and see if you find the fare.
They are available on http://www.flysas.com/en/au. But you will want to book now as seats in this fare are rather limited.

Try the Finnair Business Europe fare: fly QF or CX to one of Finnair's Asian ports, then Finnair to Paris via Helsinki. It's less than $8000 return from Australia. Alternatively, there's a mixed class fare: Economy to Asia, Business from there to Paris and back, for around $4500.
Hi Hardieboys
Where abouts on teh finnair website can I look at mixed class fares? Can't find it
Cheers
