Yes - but it depends on your fare basis - not all fares earn points but every little helps. Just go online and do a claim for your flights like you would with any missing claim. You will find out soon enough if your fares were eligible.

We have just returned from a 2 week trip to the US which involved a quick trip from LAX to Vegas and back on American Airlines.
Given that QF do codeshare flights with AA, can I get QF FF points on our AA flights?

Its interesting - they don't list American Airlines on their online list for claiming "lost" points. But I just checked my wife's statement, and the flight shows there, but no points or SC's. She just has 2 big fat 0's there. So it hardly seems worth following up on it
You really need to know the fare class the tickets booked into to be sure.
0 points/sc's on your Qantas FF statement normally means that your FF number was registered, but the flights were in-eligible.
Note that a few of the very cheap flights with AA are not eligible.
AA missing points cannot be claimed using the online claim. Need to be claimed using email/mail with copy of boarding passes
Since it has credited, just with zero points, it seems that you were in an ineligable class and so you have earned zero and so no point in claiming
