Bangkok Airport to Holiday Inn

I am flying to Bangkok on QF1 (in J), shows it landing at 23:15.
The airport express bus website says the last bus is at midnight.
Based on other peoples experience, will I make it?

If not, what are other peoples recommendations to get to the Holiday Inn?

Re: Bangkok Airport to Holiday Inn

Which Holiday Inn? It does not really make much difference whether you are staying in Silom or in Patumwan on Ploenchit Road. You may make the last bus departure of the night arriving at that time but why wait for the bus when a taxi would get you there much quicker with less hassle.

I think your best option once you arrive is to go downstairs to the public taxi stand and get a meter taxi. Do not accept a fixed price for the fare even if they insist. Say you want meter taxi. I would expect the taxi fare to be around 350 baht, ~$A12, including 50 baht airport surcharge and 65 baht for tolls.

Re: Bangkok Airport to Holiday Inn

Which Holiday Inn? There are a couple in Bangkok.

I think you'll find taxi to be a quick and reliable trip rather than mucking around with busses. Not sure of the current cost due to fuel increases and toll increases, but should be less than 400Baht.

If you don't want that, then you can get a driver organised through your hotel or other service, (probably for between 800 baht and 2000 baht), but once again, I'm not sure of the current arrangements/costs.
