Probably but then nothing is ever on topic on this board anyway :P

What about these abbreviations

BYO: Bring your own or buy your own
WOFTAM: Waste of time and money
WAWOFTAM: What a waste of time and money

Sometimes the "f" is used in the phrase as well depending on mood

Yeah that's good and on track.

And....

AFF: Australian Frequent Flyer
QFF: Qantas Frequent Flyer

Also.....

VIP: Very important person
NFI or NFC: No Idea (couldn't think of cleaner way of phrasing it)

DYKWIA - Do You Know Who I am ?

That which one says at checkin when not automatically upgraded or not allowed to check in for a flight 30 seconds before it's leaving :)

At which point the check-in agent grabs the microphone and makes the following announcement:

"Ladies and gentlemen, I have here somebody who doesn't know who he is. If anybody knows him, can they please approach me and tell us who he is. Thank you."

Oh yes, the classic and correct response to that question. Its one I am hanging out to use sometime, but have not yet had the opportunity.

Thanks for your feedback Dave Noble, JohnK, serfty, oz_mark, thadocta and NM, and sorry for the slow response.

Agree that the list needs to be kept tidy and have limited all explanations and abbreviations to 1 line in that spirit. Also agree that we have a tendancy to get OT here (OT = Off Topic, another I need to add) .

Have edited to include:

AFF, CIP, FFP, IME, QFF & TSA. ROFLMAO was already on the list. The others of course people can learn in this thread. Cheers

Have edited to also include:

OT: Off Topic
LCC: Low Cost Carrier

Others not added to the list (but noted here for our amusement):

WWMD: What Would Mum Do?
WWDD: What Would Dad Do?
TMI: Too Much Information!

I would have liked to have responded to a recent e-mail from a (recently demoted & now infamous) AFF guest - TMI!
