Hi guys, just joined the forums - excellent site, great resource for people looking for info.

Quick question, am contemplating going for a platinum challenge with AA.

I fly regularly from KIN (Kingston, Jamaica) to MEL approx every 8-10 weeks. Can I use QF coded flights for the challenge, or must they be AA coded flights?

Also, by my math it looks like a single flight would pass the challenge even on an L class fare which is what we usually travel on, is this correct? If not, id get two return flights inb the 3 month period so this should definatley get me into platinum yeah?

    Any response would be appreciated.

And once again, thanks guys this site is a real eye opener.

    thanks,
    Chris

AA challenges require AA flight numbers. The flight can be operated by other airlines, but must book the AA flight number. So if using Qantas as the operator for the trans-Pacific segment, just make sure you book the AA codeshare flight number and you are good for the challenge.

Note there is now a fee for undertaking the challenges.
