Lounge access on Earth Platinum AMEX

    Hi everyone

Just wondering if Earth Platinum AMEX gives you lounge access - was travelling around Hong Kong airport and noticed some lounges let you present a credit card (usually Platinum or the higher tiers) to get access - but in the case of HKG, only locally issued cards were allowed.

Noticed on the AMEX website (probably the US site?) that they allow access to some airline lounges:

Are we eligible for any of these? Anyone tried?

    anthony

The airport access given in the link above is available on the Australian Platinum Charge Card as well. That is:

    Airport Lounge Access
As a Platinum Card you’re extended a warm welcome in some of the world’s most hospitable airport lounges1 including:

    Delta Crown Room Club®
    Continental Airlines President Club®
    Northwest Airlines WorldClubs®
    American Airlines Admirals Club.
In addition, it gives you a complimentary Priority Pass membership, as noted by Johnk.

However, these benefits do not extend to American Express Credit Cards, either their own platinum credit card, or the third party credit cards such as the Earth card.
    Air: QFF Gold (LTS)
Hotel: A|Club: Gold, PC Plat, Hyatt GP: Plat, HH: Silver, SPG: Gold
Car: Avis preferred, Hertz #1 Club Gold

One of the reasons the charge cards cost so much and you dont get fee waivers unless your very special ! since they also don't make interest $$ on a charge card, only commission on overseas transactions and yearly fee's. Also one of the reasons i do pay the $$ for my platinum charge card.
