Earth April 1 One point bonus BUT.....

As noted in another thread many of us received a one point bonus from Earth for April 1, but posted on April 2.

Not too surprisng I guess for many of us with earth Cards....like many I assumed just an april Fools joke from Westpac to it's earth Customers.


However what sparked my interest in this again was when I checked my wife's QF account today.

Her Earth Card was cancelled about two years back....but there in her QF account was that one point bonus too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that would suggest to me that rather than being a Westpac April Fools joke....that it may instead be the work of a hacker...or disgruntled employee.

I spoke with Qantas and Westpac during the course of business in the past week. It seems that in the course of tidying everything up at Westpac, they rounded up partial points remaining in the old accounts and dutifully passed them onto Qantas.

Very generous of Westpac, probably not required from a customer pov.

Well all points are always gratefully received

But I will not be eagerly awaiting next years rounding..................
