Flying QF1 SYD-BKK 20/01, preassigned 37A&B. Window and adjacent, you'd assume.
Seatguru lists a few of the mid 30 rows as not having windows. Already I can begin to feel the walls closing in...
(Note to those who are always angling for a "free upgrade": freaking out and claiming claustrophobia due to the lack of a window does not necessarily get one upgraded to the more spacious surrounds of the F nor J cabins, funilly enough. I tried that one.)
Does anyone have access to aircraft assignement, detailed seat map, anything that might indicate window or wall for that flight & row?

Hi SFU,
Your flight is scheduled to be a 3 class 14F/50J/315Y 744.
From seat expert it does look like there are a couple of windows missing from rows 37, 38, 39 & 41.
I'm on the same type of craft in the same zone next week; I'll try to remember to have a look.
It would probably be difficult to change your seat at this time as the flight must be quite full. (I can't get a diagram of the allocated Y seats for the flight.)
I know it's nice to look out the window when there is a view, but a lot of the time it is night or you are so high above the clouds or it is blindinly sunny - don't you find you usually keep the shades down for the majority of flights anyway? But having said that, I'd still like the option of a window when I wanted it. Otherwise I'd feel short changed when everyone else had a window!

And sometimes you get to see another aircraft in formation with yours, such as Mel-Sin on Saturday when we had BA of the wing 2000 feet higer for most of the trip! At least it was not a fighter, thats when you start to worry, although they tend to hang back and above the aircraft so as to not panic the pax.

Indeed. We could not have the shooting down a plane full of paniced pax, now could we?
As opposed to shooting down a plane of calm pax.
I have been in flights with fighter alongside for a while. A bit unnerving even if captain announces nothing to worry about. More unnerving when they pull away - are they lining us up now?
