If anyone has ever wondered what happens if you mis-read the screen and select the "Yes, I do have dangerous goods" question for DJ online check-in, the answer is: the check-in process goes no further - you have to check-in at the airport, and you can't even click 'Back' and change your answer

I would assume the QF site is the same. Certainly if you press Yes on QuickCheck its off to the help desk.

Did that once by mistake, and suffered the same fate as you. Very careful now to make sure I click "no"!!

You know this is why I think this forum is terrific... I have often wondered what would happen, but haven't wanted to do press it. So thanks for the tip....
Does anybody know the rules regarding putting alcohol in your suitcase?
I have travelled before with 6 bottles of spirits (40%) packed, I told the person at check in but she wasn't too concerned. It was on a domestic flight.
Other then duty free I guess they don't have many people transporting alcohol.
Location: Home, Work, Airport, Here (not in that order!)

The airline may also have rules over how the alcohol is packed - eg not in a flimsy cardboard box, etc, but that's not really a "Dangerous Goods" issue, but more of a airline baggage rules issue.

I carry alcohol in my checked luggage and I have never had an issue.
Returning from BKK in December I had several 50ml botles of scotch, a 200ml bottle of champagne and a bottle of beer in my checked luggage. I was selected for secondary screening and the AQIS officer was going through my luggage and when he came across the alcohol just asked if these were from the hotels mini bar. I nodded and nothing further was said.
By the way I also purchased my duty free quota of alcohol when arriving into SYD so would have been over the allowable limit, with the alcohol in my luggage, and again nothing was said.
