And while we are at it, we should check that his number of take-offs, and landings are equal... (might have got himself one of those flying suits)

Just a wild stab in the dark but flying something like AKL-CHC-WLG-AKL would cause that sort of anomaly in the statistics.

Not a great sample size here but I seem to remember him going AKL-CHC-ZQN-CHC-WLG-AKL for a Saturday's flying.

But then again, anything's possible with that man. (like his latest AKL-SYD via LAX)

During Kiwi Mainland DO in November we were waiting for a flight in ZQN that was late and discussing the particular routing of that 737 in a day. I think it does 8 sectors in a day and he has in the past been on everyone of the 8 sectors in a day. I don't remember the routing exactly, and you can probably work out from the QF schedule anyway, but it goes something like AKL-CHC-ZQN-ROT-ZQN-CHC-AKL-WLG-AKL. He really does have a passion for flying....

Re: Flightmemory.com Premium service

Well, I've got to give Flightmemory some gold stars as I've just logged 8 years of flight records and the result is excellent. Shows you what happens when its raining outside and the grass keeps growing.

The breakdown is quite illuminating and stunned me over what I thought was my highest useage airports. I even graphed the yearly mileage which showed me that when I thought I was reducing my miles, it has actually been growing the last few years.

The printed results could use some organising better but a good product. Not sure I'd go for premium though.

Re: Flightmemory.com Premium service

Well I took the plunge and did the upgrade.. Cost about AUD$45 in the end via payal.

Turn around to upgrade my account was only about 12 hours which was good.

The journey function is pretty good. You still log your flights as normal, then you can go to the journey tab and group them together. Once they are in a journey you can't add them to another journey by mistake either.

The PDF saving of the flights is very good. Nicely formatted with all the details.

Unfortunately you can save the maps as PDF's. I emailed them about it and they wer most apologetic that it wasn't available and offered me a refund if I wasn't happy. I've kept it going regardless as i feel it is a good way to support them. They are hoping to have it working in the future.

It's so easy to copy a flight now. In the the Flightdata you have options to copy or create a return flight with one click. Very nifty.

The extra filters you get on the stats page is great. You can filter by years, aircraft etc. so the maps display the flying you did in a particular year or aircraft type etc.

Overall I am pretty happy with it so far. If anyone wants to see some screen shots I'll be happy to post some.

Cheers,

Nick

No problem here (I employ the 'free' version, still no ads due to 'adblock +').

Re: Flightmemory.com Premium service

Has anyone else ordered a poster of their flights?

I ordered my 2007 flights poster in early Jan and it hasn't shown up yet?
