What dates & airports did you have trouble getting a return trip for ?
In regards to the grid layout, I have thought about it, but I just haven't had the time to do it yet. Its still a hobby project and currently I have spent most of my time refining the search technology.
Thanks for your feedback!

Looks pretty good. Plugged in some random dates and the results seemed to be correct. Didn't have much luck with return flights though with displaying the fares for the return trip.
Will have to recommend the site to some friends.
If I can make one suggestion, I'd suggest displaying the results in some kind of matrix rather than a drop-down box.
Also, don't forget to add in some Google Ad-words or similar! Can't not make money out of a "free" site!
Looks pretty good to me too. Can't help thinking, though, with only two airlines (JQ isn't an airline), you could get the same answer by opening two concurrent browser windows (not really much harder to my way of thinking).
Now a version that came up with the really best international fares worldwide (not just ex-Aust) would be something else. I'd buy it in a shot (and it's not called Travelocity or Expedia).
The mac explains it. It does not render correctly on safari / explorer yet, but I will try to fix it as soon as I can get my hands on a mac!.
It should work fine on a pc with explorer / firefox / opera though.
Thanks for the feedback!
Hi emeer and thanks for your explanation. I've got a G4 lap, G4 Cube and Sony Vaio on my desk at home. The Vaio works just fine, and you've given me renewed energy to upgrade my Macs to the OSX. Cheers.

Nice site - I like the speed of return you're achieving. As a suggestion, you might want to look at the matrix idea suggested by Mal, I like the drop-downs but a grid, and re-working some of your calls in the background, would help you get combinable one-ways.....people who fly down DJ often return JQ etc.
And then there's the business model......
Good Luck!

I'm using Mozilla Firefox 1.5 "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051111 Firefox/1.5"
Here is an example. Search Adelaide- Cairns. Jan 5 and Jan 19th.
Only shows the outbound flights, not the inbound ones. There is only one line per airline.
Same search, IE.
Brings up the "Checking" screen (doesn't appear on Firefox). Displays 2 lines for each airline (and ougoing and incoming flight).
Yeah, the matrix thing is a good idea, like you say it will enable you to book with different airlines on the outbound / return leg. Im thinking about adding this, but it will require quite a bit of a rewrite.
I haven't really given serious though to the business model yet, I just did this because im a programmer and an aviation enthusiast. However I can see that given some refinements to the site, it could pay off to get some partners / ads.
Mal:
Hmm, I could not reproduce that scenario in my firefox. Do any of you other guys have a similar problem (no return leg shown) ?. Im using quite a lot of javascript to build the drop down menus etc, that could be it, can you see if there are any javascript errors occuring in your firefox ?
In regards to the 'book now' feature, I have spent alot of time coding that one. I have yet to find another search site that lets you jump straight into the 'correct' page on the airlines web page, so Im abit proud of it.
-- thanks for your feedback guys, keep it coming!.
Btw, In case my english sucks -- Im not an Australian, Im a Norwgian, living in Oslo, but I stayed in Perth for 3 years when I did my computer science degree, thats where I started this little project.
