What chance do i have?

Of getting silver membership when im a red?

Last year, due to the adjusting that went on, i was about 400 points shy of becoming a silver. Also due to the fact that i went to Rome for November so all in all not a bad trade-off!

I was thinking of ringing them up and seeing what chance i had but i thought that i might ask you guys as i have seen a few people given it when they were close...

I would say it would be "virgin" on the improbable, but it won't hurt ringing and asking.

It depends when your 'qualification period' ends. If, for example, you joined in March 2006, your qualification period ends at the end of March each year. After that, all status credits expire.

If you're a few hundred points off qualifying and your qualification period is still open, get yourself on a DJ flight pronto .

If you're unsure of what you have to do check your account at velocityrewards.com.au . They'll give you up to date info on how many status credits you have now, and how long you have until they expire.

If your qualification period has already finished then I'd say your credits have already been wiped. I know mine have .

Wait, does your qualifying period end tomorrow?

Hmm...any objections to spending new years in the air?

Still, like Reggie said, couldn't hurt to give it a shot.

Re: What chance do i have?

hahahah.. good suggestions all three...

Unfortunately they ended in November when i was on holiday so they are well and truly gone - normally i would have had a trip in Novmeber that would have easily taken care of it but alas i was "sunning" myself in the medditarrenean (or however you spell it!)

So i guess i just do a few more trips this year and all will be fine - I have worked out that i have to fly at least once a month to get silver and next month alone should be 3 so im off to a good start
