It depends when your 'qualification period' ends. If, for example, you joined in March 2006, your qualification period ends at the end of March each year. After that, all status credits expire.
If you're a few hundred points off qualifying and your qualification period is still open, get yourself on a DJ flight pronto

If you're unsure of what you have to do check your account at velocityrewards.com.au . They'll give you up to date info on how many status credits you have now, and how long you have until they expire.
If your qualification period has already finished then I'd say your credits have already been wiped. I know mine have
