Virgin Blue Gimme Five???
Has anyone done this, I have purchased some flights with VB and using my AMEX Rewards Maximiser, but I didn't get 5 points per $1......

Have you received the bonus points yet?

I believe the 5 bonus points per $1 is for the Amex MR account and not Velocity. I may well be wrong but with this type of promotion I would expect the bonus points to post after you have completed the flights. Otherwise you can purchase a fully flexible ticket, receive the bonus points and then cancel the ticket.
