Non updated IFE - Virgin

I just arrived back into Melbourne on DJ866 on VH-VBU. This plane does not have the L2A system, however that does not bother me. What does bother me is that the material being played was at least two months, maybe even three months old.

Is it because most of the fleet now has L2A that there is no need to bother updating those few that are left....
This was made worse as we were boarded, then left sitting at the gate for an hour waiting for a storm to pass (no exageratio either. By my guess, the recorded "entertainment" is only an hour long because that's how long we were sitting there before hearing it repeat.

Anyway, a little grumpy, and I know the delay is not the fault of DJ, but what about the IFE?

Just reminds me how much we take for granted here. Ever had reason to fly anywhere on an American Airlines MD80 (in any class)? No IFE at all, let alone IFE that's a few months old, and on an hour loop!

If I recall correctly, that is the flight deck channel..... I actually really like that Maybe DJ could put that on with the map channel!!

And yes we are spoiled, but when a standard is set, it should be maintained IMO.
