Maybe you are confused with DJ Premium Y which averages 34, normal economy is about 31. Or perhaps you were in an exit row and didn't realise :-)
I was on a Pac Blue plane recently (not a PB flight, just a domestic one) and I agree that the seat pitch is greater than that of the 737-7s.

Wouldn't be 34", but it'd be pretty close. Very comfortable aircraft.

Keep in mind the Pac Blue-operated aircraft are sans Y+.

They have just announced 9x weekly SYD-AKL and 2 x weekly SYD-Vanuatu from Mid OCT
