DJ Connection Caberra through Sydney to Launceston

I just wondered why Virgin is not offering/selling a connection through to Launceston on CBR-SYD-LST, when there are two early morning flights to SYD from CBR and a flight to LST at 8:50am that in theory would connect quite well? I'm keen to fly the Embraer but at the moment only CBR-MEL-LST is offered.
