I was just trying to book some USA segments on my Oz credit card on ua.com and it keeps telling me I have an invalid credit card. I have entered two different AMEX cards.

Is it the same as AA and only American Credit Cards are accepted?

Have you tried their Australian site?

United Airlines Australia - Airline tickets, international airfare, flight schedules and travel deals

    Accepts Australian credit cards.

I have used this site plenty of times with my Westpac card... should have no problems.

I hadn't even thought of it/expected it. Thanks Mal.

It even cuts out the currency conversion fees and the rates seem pretty good. USD$83.50 converted to USD$96 which seems okay at the moment.

    Tickets issued, thanks guys!

Another way of doing it is to book and hold on United.com, and then ring Manila. Pricing will be in AUD at a good exchange rate.
