Ide like to know your techniques to determine seat availability on UA fllights, especially those available for upgrades using points.

Cnt you use www.expertflyer.com ? Not sure that gives upgrade availability but does i think show fare buckets.

You can do it on Ual.com - just check the search for upgradeable flights box. Could hardly be easier.
