Virgin America

Last week I flew a Virgin America (VX) A320 from SFO to LAX in Y class, at an all-in cost of USD 54.

I was very impressed, great seats, great service and really excellent free AVOD with live to air TV. Free soft drinks and nibblies too. I'd certainly fly them again.

Makes Virgin Blue look like the airline from hell that it is, with its 18 year old giggling hosties and nickling and diming for everything else. And we are the Lucky Country??

Re: Virgin America

Virgin America have a stretched fleet at the moment, and according to reports I've seen have been cancelling some flights recently as a result.

Their planes (Which have some form of Live2Air seatback video) also require considerable work before new planes are brought into service.

So, there may be some more issues until their fleet is completely up to speed.

From the reports I've seen, they mirror clifford's experience. It's time the U.S domestic market was shaken a little.

A lot of VX was based on DJ's operations. Their eleVAte program is a carbon copy of Velocity. But their 'red' IFE looks like a great innovation, and I'd love to see it introduced down here on DJ or VAA.

They do look like a fantastic airline, as do, IMHO, all Virgin airlines. But that's just me...dont hurt me :P

Trust me, as far as a fare paying passenger is concerned, there is very little similarity between VX and DJ.

One has great customer service, fantastic on-board facilities, and the best prices, the other...

We just don't have enough competition here.
