Very enjoyable trip report and great photos.

Although I was disappointed you did not post a feet shot from your seat on the aircraft....

    munitalP,

Look at the TR's from QF009 that always include feet shots. That is the reference that JohnK is making.

    Otherwise a great report.
    cheers,
    Bill.

Straitman got in first with a good explanation. My simple explanation is while you are sitting in your seat in the aircraft get your camera out and take a photo of your feet. It is a trademark of all trip reports by QF009. By the way the feet shots do not detract from the great trip reports just gives them a little extra flavour.

I would have a huge a problem as my pot belly gets in the way and I cannot see my feet while sitting in an aircraft seat.

Great TR! Yes Taipei is hot... and humid. I'm originally from TPE and goes back to visit regularly - usually not during this time of the year as it's the typhoon season and is obviously humid! My preference is between November and March ie either Xmas, Chinese New Year, or Easter.

I haven't been on the bullet train yet... prob. should go this time.

QF009 - I'm also planning to visit TPE during Easter. If you are around then let me know and I will buy you a beer for all your help. :-)

As an update to my trip report...

Last weekend Mrs!, 2 friends and Mr! had lunch at Din Tai Fung in Sydney. My expectations were not shattered and I told Mrs! that my new goal in life was to eat at every one of these ab fab resturants world wide. By end Feb 2009 I will have done LA, Bankok and Singapore, so heres to a darn good challenge!!

Anyone who hasn't eaten here - world trade square - allow 1 hour to get through the door - allow another 2 hours to feast on the BEST dumpling available...

I liked the one in Shanghai.

I wanted to find the one in LA but taipeiflyer for some reason has a pathological hatred for it so I didn't get around to it or I'd have never heard the end of it. Maybe it's the Taiwanese equivalent of Starbucks coffee...
