Re: From Broken hill to the Amazon jungle.

So a few firsts on this trip-first visit to South america-now planning the second.
-first RTW without a segment on a 747.
-first flight on TN-wont be rushing back.
-first flight on LAN-will definitely use again.
-first flight on eagle and the ERJ-only if I have to.
-first flight in AA F with new suites-a very enjoyable experience.
-first trip to Spain-been there done that.
Highlight of the trip-definitely the Galapagos.if you are into nature this is a definite must.Up close with a sea lion underwater-magic.Albatros and blue foo footed boobies doing their courtship dances virtually at your feet-amazing.Snorkelling when a boobie dives and catches a fish-incredible.
The current BBC series on the Galapagos is great but nothing compares to actually being there. So a few pictures to whet your appetite-
The sea lions are friendly-

A new born, placenta still near by-

Albatros courtship-

Desolate but beautiful-

And the blue footed boobies in love-

And naturally finish with a food shot-

See sometimes we ate very simply. But again go-before it is ruined because although they limit the number of boats the limit seems to be increased each year.

Re: From Broken hill to the Amazon jungle.

Lessons learned-Dont forget the OW Global explorer product. This trip was a 5 continent trip and a DONE5 would have been more expensive.
If flying Iberia dont just rely on checking your itinerary on line-obviously should at least ring them the day before.
Be ready for anything at LHR.
If you enjoy travel do it when you can-you never know whether you or your destination will change.
So finally a couple of shots of Isla De Pascua/Rapa Nui/Easter Island-another totally different and interesting place.
The town(and LAN 767)

The Moai are carved out of the cliff-

Finished in the quarry-

Then somehow moved miles and erected-

And of course the food shot-street food Rapa Nui style-

So one trip ends and another will soon begin-From Mt.Gambier to the Mekong. And even the QF009 patented foot shots!
