Virgin Blue and Emirates have struck an interline deal enabling
travellers from 13 Australian ports to travel to destinations around the globe on a single ticket.
The deal will see bags checked through to the final Emirates destination while reciprocal frequent flyer arrangements have also been agreed.
Stephen Pearse, Emirates Airline vice president Australia said it will expand Emirates reach beyond its current ports.
