I wonder if my favourite little town (Wanaka) will be included in the price cuts, as it costs a fortune to get there!

the question is - throwing down the gauntlet or suffering under the pressure.
They couldn't be suffering as much as Pacific Blue are in the Domestic Market. I flew PB more then 10 times in August and had some pretty ugly loads. The morning AKL-WLG seems to be full every day, yet the AKL-CHC runs just dont cut it. My 2.30pm CHC-AKL flight had a mere 25 POB, guess they cant cancel it when there is only 2 flights a day.
The problem is that they charge more than what ANZ and JQ charge for on domestic, so no wonder they are going nowhere with there tiny frequencies. But then again they only have 2 738's on domestic flights so perhaps it dosn't hit as hard.
Oh I'm sure the Kiwi govt will back Air NZ up when they get into trouble. Again.
cheers,
Bill.
