The promo's making me crazy, but what insurance companies take amex? I have car, 3 property insurance policies with aami but they don't do amex. nrma is generally more expensive, as is allianz.
Any tips on what's good?
cheers,
Bill.

Also a thread each day on a similar topic "what service providers for [insert utility type] take Amex" is getting a little repetitive.
Maybe check out the Amex Merchant Map first?

thanks for that link. Unfortunately it doesn't work too well. Insurance, utilities, etc, can't find any because it must be based in 1 suburb.
It's only good for retailers.
So does AMP General Insurance (insurer is Suncorp).
What's better, you can paid in monthly instalments with some insurers and get 3 transactions in before the end of December, per contract.
But I agree with previous posters, if your main (or sole) reason for changing insurers is so that you can pay by Amex, then you really need to make sure that the T&C's of the new contract(s) is/are better (as well as cheaper) than your existing AAMI ones, otherwise you may find yourself being at the wrong end of an insurance contract that doesn't respond to a claim (the point at which you need a good contract and broker/adviser).
