As I posted earlier in the thread.
Promotion code SAC105399 is still valid this month giving $10 discount if ordering online and purchasing >$100.
Not sure if you are going to find better discounts than that around....

Haven't thought of duty free discounts before - this thread has got my attention, thats for sure.
The only discounts I have are the back of Duty Free reciepts offereing a small discount next time coming thorough, like 5% or so.
Are there any other coupons available ex SYD currently? Doing SYD - NAN 14th April then NAN - SYD 22nd April.
Would be great to get a few extra dollars off the regular duty free prices.
TIA!

If you're travelling back to LAX I would eocmmend getting your Alcohol over there.
I bought a coupl eof bottle of famous grouse which ended up costing me $38 AUD where in Syd i thinkt eh going rate is $52.
I think the JW Black was also a reasonable amount cheaper, but was feeling a bit broked after my month holiday![]()
FWIW, I usually find buying booze in Japan cheaper due to their liquor licensing being cheaper that Oz anyways.
I am not sure if this helps, but when I went to Malaysia I bought an Ipod Touch here
and got reimbursed the GST at the aiport
same with a camera
this was good as I got to haggle at any store I liked
At the time the duty free store had them for $318 (GST free), and I got mine for $300 (with GST), which then was given back
no problems at melbourne airport, just rocked up with the reciepts and it was all done quickly
added benefit was that I had time to load on movies etc for the flight
Natt
i second buying electronics and perfume from a normal shop and ten claiming the GST back.
Since the introduction of the GST the only thing worth buying at duty free are cigs & alcohol.
Lets hope we don't follow the EU where they start to kill that off for their citizens![]()
I paid ¥7500 for a bottle of Chivas Royal Salute at a duty free shop in Narita. Used to buy it in the neighbourhood liquor store for about ¥8000 (in the middle of nowhere, mind).
This site has it for $279.
I used to pay ¥1800 for a bottle of Bombay Sapphire. Never paid under $40-45ish for it in Australia.
