Lindsay, you really have been misleading us about your computer skills. I will no longer believe your claims to being a novice and non-computer-literate. Next we will see you writing Java programs.

NM, no rocket science in having 4 screens open, clicking on a link on the QFF website, copying the link address and pasting to the post.

You'll just have to accept my skills are non-existant when I get my first laptop in the next month and I ring you to find out how to plug into the net at the QP or into the seat power (before I get on board, of course)...

Java...isn't that an island near Indonesia  . Programs for what...jungle logistics???

Now back on topic, I've updated the Qantas post with a new promotion...
FF Programs: QFF Gold (OW Sapphire) QC Life, LTSilver & 61.05% to LTG, AAdv (50.4% to LTG), NW. Hotel: PC Gold, Hyatt GP Gold, HHonors Gold, SPG, Marriott Rewards, PriorityGUEST. Car Rental: Avis Pref, Hertz No 1 Cards: Amex Plat, Visa Plat.

Have just added a Mileage Calculator - see the third message at bottom.

Also added the Domestic Fares - Rules explained - see bottom of Qantas post, just above Current Promotions. This is a must print-out for the regular traveller. Thanks to Mal for advising where it could be located.

Just been advised of another excellent link - always wanted to know just what makes up all those taxes and surcharges you pay and who is charging them. Well, added under the expanded heading "Mileage and Status Credit Calculators" in post #3.

Also added the Domestic Fares - Rules explained - see bottom of Qantas post #2, just above Current Promotions. This is a must print-out for the regular domestic traveller.

    Brilliant work Lindsay.

Browsing this forum over the past 6 months (just reading and not posting) I have realised just how much I dont know about air travel and how much you probably should! Slowly I am becoming more compentent in chosing the best deals and maximising my travelling experience.

This list isn't the ultimate guide - it is The Bible For Flying

    Hi,

Just tried the mileage and status credits calculator:

Mileage Monkey's Oneworld SC & points calculator (QF pre & post 25/5 calcs, BA and AA; one-way, return, point-2-point and OW explorer)
but I couldn't find where it calculated the SCs earned on a trip. Help!

It only seems to do this when you have a valid xONEx itinery.

eg put MEL-LHR-JFK-LAX-MEL into the "Oneworld Explorer Validator" and click on the submit button.

If you are after, say CNS-PER, you will need to plug it into a valid xONEx itinery and read of the table that appears at the very end. eg CNS-PER-SIN-LHR-LAX-MEL.

Remeber to select Pre-/Post May 24 changes.
