Now to revive an old thread instead of start a new one.
I was just looking on the Qantas A380 website and they mention power for economy seats.
Is that available for every economy seat or just a clever marketing trick and outlets are only limited in the economy section?
Secondly, not that i would ever use it but how much are call costs and sending/receiving sms costs?
Edit by NM: I have split this off to a new thread to avoid confusion for people reading the earlier posts from a 2 year old thread.

Seat guru is slightly wrong.
There is certainly a power point to the front right of 80A and presumably 71D and front left of 80K. More here (with pics): http://www.frequentflyer.com.au/comm...tml#post225873 (Seat Power on an A380)
Note that power is readily accessible from the row of seat in front of the row you are sitting in. So Exit row and bulkhead seats miss out.
The above is incorrect - bulkhead and exit seats do have power - where the TV monitors are stored - see milehighclub's next post.![]()

Exit rows and bulk heads DO have in seat power. To find the plug, the TV monitor must be out.

Given i have seen 7 or 8 dollar a minute calls on normal mobiles in some countries i can't see this as much of a suprise to anybody about the costs, we all know it will cost a lot even if we don;t know how much a lot is.
