That's correct and it specificially only applies to Australian and NZ domestic flights. It is silent on international flights and it certainly doesn't say that gold and plat members get priority luggage (of either type) on international flights.

So I'm not sure it is valid to says paid QP members don't get priority luggage on the basis of this link. Especially, when some of our experience is different.

In the section of the QFF pages Benefits and privileges ( Frequent Flyer - About the Program - Benefits & Privileges - Status Privileges ) it shows that Gold and Platinum members get priority luggage handling for international flights

ergo Gold and Platinum members are entitled to priority handling on both domestic and international flights and that Qantas Club members are entitled to priority handling on domestic flights

Dave
Well these are status benefits, IMO you can't draw conclusions about QP member entitlements from the Benefits listed for status.

Unfortunately I can only point to experience and not a T&C, perhaps I was lucky

They also do not say that Qantas Club members are not entitled to Arrivals Lounge access in London so , by that logic, there is no reason to think that they can't... hrmmmm

The benefits list the additional benefits that the QC membership does provide; given that it specifically states that domestic priority baggage is provided , it is logical to infer that they do not get it internationally since if they did, it would be mentioned

For Gold and Platinum members, the international luggage priority benefit is specifically covered on the status benefits page and there is no mention of Qantas Club members getting the benefit

If you have received the benefit internationally, then that is nice but is neither something to expect nor relied upon

Have QP members been allowed in the Arrivals lounge in london? If not then I wouldn't expect that is a benefit.
(my job involves some interpretation of legistation, these types of discussions can go on for days, weeks and months)

Yep, it was good luck.

But anyway, OT i suppose as the OP was about a domestic route, CNS-BNE.

QC members have never been entitled to International priority luggage handling AFAIK so is no different conceptually

QF Silver members do not get priority tagged luggage.

The conceptually difference is between entitlement and experience:

QP members may not be entitled to priority tags but some have experience of getting priority tags. (admittedly my stats seem to be based on a sample of 1)
On the other hand, with the lounge mentioned in London. I assume QP members are not explicitly entitled and there is no experience of QP members being let in either.

Your previous posts relate to entitlement to luggage tags internationally. QC members are not entitled to them; sometimes they may get them if the agent happens to do it ( same as sometimes I see them tag AA platinum members with priority ) but there is no entitlement nor reason to expect it

If you think BNE is bad, wait till you hit PER especially on the flight home from BNE that lands close to midnight! Have had a 1.5 hour wait before.

I believe it's not listed as a benefit, however I have a 100% success rate in both PER and the international port, on a sample size of 8 flights

Re: Priority Tags or lack thereof

The luggage arrived onto the carousel in SYD relatively quickly last night. My bag was the 61st, which is not too bad, and was tagged with business tags. The first bag out was a non-priority tagged bag and then a mixture of business tagged, priority tagged and non-priority tagged bags in no particular order or pattern.
