QF have updated their booking engine on the qantas.com.au home page. There's no longer a Domestic and International tab and there is now multi-city options on the home page. The drop down box is now a list of all airports with airport codes.
I like... As you say may be more difficult for some less expereinced people to use.

What are you saying Evan?
I do think it looks great but I used to like typing the letter "S" if I wanted Sydney and also having the capitals (main cities) up the top. Now I have to scroll through them
For those of us with the QF toolbar though, not much to worry about.

I just can't imagine there is people out there that do not know most airport codes in the world that they are likley to visit
But i love now being able to type NRT instead of Tokyo
I just wish you could book more multi airline flights off the QF page, Like i book lots of flights mixed BA & QF, but generally book through the QF office here in SIN since they seem to have no issues with it at all.

Lol, I agree- airport codes are so much easier.
The thing is, I can't actually type the selection I want in this new drop down box. Is it just me or do you have to scroll through it all to make your selection?

My wife would be one of these people (most people don't see it as important), although she knows why MCO is code for Orlando, and why ORD is code for Chicago... She is also not unintelligent.
You could also try TYO for Tokyo, or NYC for New York, or CHI for Chicago...

I have tried using BAs multi city booking facility and if the multi airline booking proposal is anything like it I would not bother.
I tried booking WT+ BKK-SYD-SIN and it priced well over 100,000 baht, ~A$3,800. As an indication SIN-SYD-SIN return is ~A$1200 and BKK-SYD-BKK return is ~A$1400. So in effect the 2 one-ways were priced more than the 2 returns. I would hate to think how they would price one way partner airline flights.
