Lifetime Gold and Partner Gold?

I am just about to qualify for Lifetime Gold status with QFF, having passed lifetime silver about 3 months ago. (I'm suddenly doing a LOT of travel). My question is, I received no notification form Q that I had passed this illustrious milestone, with the exception of what was on the FF website. Similarly, I gave partner Gold to my wife, filled in all the forms etc, but saw nothing in return. In anyone else's experience, would Q send you notification, a new card, or anything else? I've been platinum for about 5 years or so.

Thanks!

John Donovan, something doesn't compute with your assertion. Lifetime Silver is 7,000 status credits since the introduction of this regime..mid 98 IIRC. How did you "in three months" pass from this stage to Lifetime Gold (14,000 SC's)...wow, you've been flying First Class longhaul almost every week during that 3 month period.

There is no (to my knowledge) acknowledgement from QF on these milestones. All they mean is that regardless of your future travel, you will always hold that level (ie. you could fall back to Bronze after a poor year of travel under normal circumstances, however if you are Lifetime Silver or Lifetime Gold, you will always hold onto that level as your base level). Therefore, you will always get 25% or 50% bonuses and other benefits of that level you have achieved...always (well, for as long as QFF is operative, anyway  )

With Partner Gold, it means exactly that - your partner is automatically advanced to Gold for a year, irrespective of their previous level of travel (they could be a nobody, as my fiance [now wife] was). They then have automatic QP entry, 50% bonus, etc.

They would send her a new Gold membership kit, nothing changes to your membership, you are still Platinum...what else do you want????

7000 SC's in 3 months! That is some earning rate. That's almost 80SC's per day for that period of time. That's more time in the air than most FA's and certainly more that QF pilots.

After that much flying, do you still have a partner to have the Partner Gold membership?

Yeah, and I guess I could be "about to qualify" also ... only about 3300 SC's to go  . But at least I know my family now
