In December, Qantas is celebrating its 60th anniversary of flying between Australia and Japan and giving away Bonus points to celebrate. Earn 4,000 points on eligible return Economy Class fares or 10,000 points on return Business Class fares. Also 600 points is awarded if you join the Qantas Frequent Flyer program! Valid 10 October 2007 to 10 January 2008 Eligible Flight : Narita~Sydney and v.v.
QF22, QF21, QF136, QF135, QF60, QF167 Narita~Melbourne and v.v.
QF180, QF179, QF136 Narita~Cairns and v.v.
QF60, QF69, QF168, QF167 Narita~Brisbane and v.v.
QF360, QF369, QF168, QF69 Narita~Perth and v.v.

How to apply for the Bonus Points? To receive the Bonus Points, you are required to REGISTER your name, Frequent Flyer number, flight details etc. If you are not a Qantas Frequent Flyer member yet, JOIN NOW on line and earn 600 bonus points. I found this while looking for something else, it may be of benefit to otheres. Sadly I'll just miss out flying to NRT later in the month.

I've signed up (based on eligible flights, but don't think I'll be credited based on their condition that you must have a Japanese address to be eligible.)
It also required both Japan to Australia and Australia to Japan flight numbers to be entered. I'm only doing one to Australia (then going onto somewhere else and coming back to Australia via somewhere else) and it did not let me register (besides, I do not have a mailing address in Japan either).
You dont actually need to have return to Japan flight numbers. I put in QF128 as my flight number out of Oz (just realised that is actually flight out of HKG ) - just trying to see if I can get some extra points for my flight home on Friday - never know it might just work.
Interestingly after registering it said "You have been entered into the draw - good luck!" - wonder what that was all about...
