Emergency Exit Seats on Qantas

My wife & I are flying to London in July, returning the same month. We have been assigned 40 K & H on the outbound flight. On previous flights we have been given the emergency exit seats due to my height. I was under the impression that these seats could not be pre-booked?
Any information on how avail of these seats would be greatly appreciated!

As was posted elsewhere. QF Platinum FF's can prebook exit rows. 8) 8)
