earning status credits and points on SAA booking
hi there,

i have been booked to fly BNE - Johannesburg (via Sydney) in business class.

the travel has been booked by my office in South Africa, so booked / paid for on South African Airways.

i am a memeber of QFFF (platinum) and i am wondering what happens to my status credit & points earn for this set of flights.

Going by the Qantas Frequent Flyer T&C: Airline Earning Table, you are out of luck on any flight with an SA flight number.

Nor are they a partner airline these days (they once were).

You should be able to credit to a StarAlliance progam, or perhaps even join "Voyager", you get a bonus 2½K miles the moment you start accumulating:
