I might have missed some detail in the barrage of FT information leading up to D-Day (Devalue Day), but will QFF points be devalued across other OW carriers, or is it simply a case of QF redemption flights being affected?

Most redemptions will cost more points, whether it is on QF or a partner airline. There are few which will require less points, but only for city pairs that fall into some certain ranges. One of these is of course the one QF keep promoting, being SYD-MEL dropping from 20,000 points return to 8,000 points each way. Similarly, some short USA or European routes in the <600 miles range will decrease similarly.

Looks like someone got the MEL-LAX flight on Dec 17th. Good luck trying to get back though. I do not recall seeing an award flight back from LAX for quite a while.

Regards
Daniel

PS: There seems to be HEAPS on 27th Jan onwards leaving MLB though.

Perhaps it was snapped up as part of a OneWorld RTW award?

Now, how many people logged onto the QF site this morning to book those very popular <600 mile awards that Qantas has been telling us all about. The ones that most FF members want to redeem and now cost 8,000 points each way instead of 20,000 return?
