Consolidation of Points

Looking for some advice.

Up until recently I have utilised only Qantas (QC) and some Virgin for flights in Australia and thus for earning points. With my recent move to Vietnam it is difficult to obtain Qantas flights for "internal" Asia flights. As a result I have joined Macro Polo (with Asia Miles) and Kris to keep up the earning points.

Now the question, how can I arrange it so that I can keep earning points without having to join a dozen frequent flyer programs? I have a couple of flights on Vietnam Airlines, so then I join the Golden Lotus etc..... I then have cards and points everywhere and it will start to get confusing. I know about One World but am unsure about how I can utilise this (say via Marco Polo) to earn points going into "Marco Polo" when flying on Vietnam etc so that I can try and make this sort of points mess easier?

Thanks!

Qantas and Cathay Pacific are members of oneworld.

Depending upon the booking class, you can earn QFF points for travel on CX and Asia Miles for travel on QF, or even AAdvantage mile for travel on either.

Re: Consolidation of Points

Just join ONE program (or if necessary one in each major alliance) and credit ALL travel on that Alliances airlines to it.... you can not "consolidate" points AFTER the fact..... by transferring them between programs..

I believe many Vietnam airlines flights operate as CX codeshares... but presumably would have to be booked as such to credit to CX??
