A380 gets suites, flat beds

Not much detail of course but hints of changes to economy. No mention of premium economy though.

QANTAS' first-class passengers will have private suites and business customers will get flat beds in the world's biggest jetliner, industry sources said yesterday.
Economy passengers can also look forward to more comfort in new seats on the Airbus A380 aircraft, which is due to start flying to Melbourne late next year.
Airbus has announced an A380 demonstration model would visit Australia next month.

I tried a quick look, but evidently Marc Newson, QF favourite designer, let some things out of the bag at the recent First Class Lounge launch in Sydney. One of the rumoured things was an onboard "Spa" for First Class.

Certainly the water variety is not going to happen, but a quick rub down for F passengers mid flight.... who knows?

Re: A380 gets suites, flat beds

My colleague (tgtwwm) flew on Virgin Atlantic and still raves about the quality of the business class product including the massage - I guess upgrading the J to that standard is not in the plan.

I am looking forward to playing Tennis on board

Wrong shape and the economy pax tend to complain about the balls being bounced off their heads.

Now, 10 pin bowling OTOH. Just need to be sure that each adjacent lane is working in the opposite direction
