Re: 5,000 bonus points booking holiday online

The 10,000 bonus points offer was much better. It is a shame that the current QF flight specials do not cover the beginning of August.

Do note that the bonus points for the promotion post within about 4 weeks but I am still waiting for the Qantas Holidays spend points and the hotel points for early January and late February. I have sent a fax to QFF service centre.

Re: 5,000 bonus points booking holiday online

I too am missing points form this promotion. Have rang Qantas Holidays 3 times since and each time they say they are dealing with a backlog and they will post soon. I'm just putting a letter into QFF today.

Does anyone have a link to the original offer as the offer doesn't appear on the above link anymore.

PS: Quite a bundle of missing points going in the post today
  • 2000 missing from Westpac earth+ card bonus points
  • 5000 Qantas Holidays/Readyrooms missing
  • ~800 Novotel points
  • ~200 Ibis points (not sure on this one.)
It certainly pays to keep an eye on the various "partner" programs.

5,000 Extra Points on Qantas Flight + Hotel Packages

I faxed the receipts from the previous promotion through to the QFF service centre when I didn't receive the FF points for the QF Holidays spend (I received the bonus points) and the reply was for me to contact QF Holidays direct and they will sort out the crediting of FF points.

Still no FF points and it is almost time to call QF Holidays again. Round and round in circles....

Thanks for the link. I am doing the same roundabout with Westpac. Wetspac say to "contact QFF. Surprisingly QFF say to "contact Westpac."

My thoughts are that the crediting of flight related points works very well. The various partner 'bonus' programs are invented in the Marketing Department and don't make it onto the IT reporting agenda.

As the motto goes "Never let the implementation get in the way of the sale."

or "don't confuse sales with delivery" (FWIW I have had no trouble getting Westpac points across)

Re: 5,000 bonus points booking holiday online

My Westpac points normally post as well.

I took an earth+ card to use for purchasing bonus points (and the travel insurance) when purchasing Qantas services. The points for the total post OK, the bonus points for Qantas services post OK when purchased via the Qantas merchant facility. I bought a qantas package via Flight Centre but didn't receive the bonus points. The earth+ T&Cs don't mention having to use a particular merchant, just a spend on "services."

I can see why they will say it will not attract bonus points but it isn't consistent with their T&Cs. Prior to making the transaction and just to make sure of the bonus status I rang both the Westpac earth+ & QFF call centres whom both said it would work. It didn't.

Will report back when resolved.

Interetsing. Was it Flight Centre, or Qantas on the statement? The one time I ever used FC, it appeared as Qantas on my statement.

The specific booking in question appeared as Flight Centre on the credit card statement.

I also had three other Qantas transactions on the same statement., booked and paid at qantas.com. The qantas.com direct bookings accrued bonus points. The FC, standard points.

Interestingly I also had the Amex upgrade to Qantas Amex card offer come to me this week. Reading the T&Cs of that card it specifically says that bonus points only accrue when processed on the "Qantas merchant account".

I do admit to thinking at the time that the system wouldn't be able to handle it.

I had purchased some QF flights on the Earth card in September and received the normal FF points but not the bonus FF points. I had purchased some more QF flights in October and received both the normal FF points and bonus FF points.

I reported the issue the to Westpac who sent me off to QFF who sent me back to Westpac. It finally took a few months and many phone calls to get the bonus FF points. Then last month I received a letter from Earth apologising for the delay and they deposited an additional 2,000 FF points in my QFF account.

I also remember receiving a letter from Earth sometime in September mentioning that for the next 3 months all spend on the card will earn an additional 0.25% bonus FF points as long as the spend in this time was over $4,000. I am certain I satisfied all the conditions but did not receive the bonus FF points. Now trying to find the letter as the call centre is not aware of the promotion.

All FF points are important even if it is only 50-60 FF points.
