4 QF sectors to retain Gold

Hello,
In my upcoming trip, SYD-JNB-LHR-BSL-LHR-BOM-SYD I will earn about 620 SC enough to retain Gold for next year but there would be only be 2 QF flights....I understand that you need a min of QF flights ....will this be a problem or will QF still retain my status.

Re: 4 QF sectors to retain Gold

Qantas are now forcing the 4 sectors of 'eligible' flights as part of their FF scheme.

So if that's your only Qantas sectors, don't expect to get renewed (but you could be lucky).

SYD-CBR/MEL/BNE-SYD on QF is generally less expensive than an annual QP membership.

Personally, I would not leave it to chance; I'd do the extra 2 flights.

Re: 4 QF sectors to retain Gold

can you get the LHR-BSL flights issued with a QF code ( if it's on BA)?

Re: 4 QF sectors to retain Gold

Don't think codesharing would help - the qualifying sectors must be on QF metal.

No idea, but I thought it was worth asking.

I though QF codeshare flights were also counted towards the 4 segments?

yes, QF codeshares do count towards the 4 flight requirement. However, I am not aware of any QF codeshares to BSL so its not going to help in this case.
