Just wanted to pass on my prayers and sympathy to the family of Rob ****son, former Hawthorn Footballer and IMHO more importantly, a very fine air ambulance pilot with the former NSCA, who passed way in Africa as a result of a car accident. I had the pleasure of going to school with Rob many years ago and flew with him at the NSCA, and I hope that he is remembered for more than being just the winner of the TV show survivor, he was a fine aviator and an even better human being, RIP.

Life can be taken away so suddenly and so sadly (viz recent bushfires which affected so many, including one of our own posters).

I was not aware of his air ambulance service, but know he was a respected documentary film maker and I'm sure the world is worse off for his (and his son's) passing.
