A Silly Questions Thread.
Mrsdrron seems to always have questions for me that I cannot answer. You really cant ask them seriously so I thought it would be good to have somewhere that silly questions could be asked and not be flamed-as the questions are admittedly silly.
Some from this trip are-
As we waited to take off from HKG an UPS freighter landed.Asks mrsdrron-Do UPS pilots wear brown uniforms?
In Singapore-Why do they still have a Chinatown here when most Singaporeans are Chinese?
And the best-How come when you are looking down at the clouds you dont see the Philly angels?
Anyone game to answer?

2. While the Chinese now account for about three-quarters of the Singaporean population, the country was originally inhabited by Malay fishermen. Apparently, it was only after the arrival of the British on Singapore's shores in the early 1800's that Chinese immigrants started arriving.
3. This is a tough one...perhaps it's for the same reason that inhabitants of Boston don't wear red sox?

Can I add my own? (Maybe it's not so silly)
What good is the A380 in-flight lounge on a US-bound flight....ie.e the only route the QF A380 currently flies? Surely that contravenes the "no congregation" rule?

Maybe the five seats represent the max that may congregate? A six seater may have had to fly to YVR instead

mbeder thanks for the answers.
Question 1 is now laid to rest.
Unfortunately with Question 2 she says-I know that but why is it still called Chinatown?
Question 3.The Phillies though wear red sox-Is this the year the drought breaks for Philly?

Perhaps - literally
Game 5 was suspended on Monday night due to rain and re scheduled to continue on Tuesday night; however it was still raining Tuesday night so it is now rescheduled for Wednesday night with an 20% chance of precipitation.

The totally off-topic thread (The totally off-topic thread) would have been a perfect place to ask silly questions. That way the silly questions get answered and the totally off-topic thread continues to survive in the current global economic crisis caused by the badly worded terms and conditions in the Amex promotion....

Yes that qualifies as a silly question.
JohnK I did consider the off topic thread but questions have a topic. Not that that disqualifies them from the OT thread of course as it does seem to be more on topic lately.
